Today I realized that you can live somewhere temporarily; it isn’t where you want to end up, but it’s good for now.
what's your boyfriend like?
girlfriend: well, he's quite an asshole and he's really selfish and he's all about his BAND and wants to put the absolute minimum effort into a emotional relationship...
me: wow...[shudder]...that sounds like everyone i've ever dated.
girlfriend: oh, i'm hoping they grow out of that phase.
me: how old is he?
girlfriend: 22
me: HA! no. Not until he's...like...27...and I'm actually lying to you because it's 28. But like...really, I feel that it's 32...probably. You know actually, I've dated 32 year olds that have acted more like 18 year olds than actual 18 year olds....um...?
girlfriend: i kinda had my hopes on 25.
me: oh darling...
